What Fun Days is?
Carlton Fun Days is about celebrating Carlton, a great little town. It is about the people and businesses that make Carlton special. This event truly is Carlton’s family-friendly party! But it is also the cities event. It typically takes place the 4th Saturday in June in the Lower Park (Wenneberg Park). There is a Fun Run/Walk, Parade, Vendor booths, food booths, entertainment, Photo Contest, Silent Auction, Free Children’s Games, Pancake Breakfast, and many other family friendly activities.
Fun Days goal is to celebrate our great little town as well as:
- Create an increased sense of community
- Opportunity for our citizens and businesses to mingle
- Create a forum in which nonprofits, etc can raise funds
Each year Fun Days raises about $4-5000 from local businesses. These sponsorship funds are used specifically for the free children’s games, entertainment, and the corresponding supplies. Out of this amount 25 to 50% goes to local non-profits or community groups for running the games, park clean-up, etc. Additional funds are raised by other community groups (churches, fire department, school groups) through participation as vendors, silent auction, etc.

How business can be involved?
-Supporting the event financially (which includes listing in advertising)
-Volunteer on the Fun Days Committee
-Be involved to promote their business- coupons, booths
-Provide items for auctions, raffles, etc
